Tutorial: How to convert DVD (VOB / MPEG-2) to AVI

First of all you will need these two softwares (freewares). Download it here or choose another source:

:: VirtualDub MPEG-2

:: AC-3 ACM Codec

Step 1)
Unzip VirtualDub and AC-3 ACM Codec and save both in two different folders.

Step 2)
On the folder you unzip AC-3 ACM, click with the right button on “AC3ACM.inf” and choose install.

Step 3)
Open “VirtualDub.exe”

Step 4)
Click on File > Open video file. Choose the VOB or MPEG-2 you want to open.

Step 5)
Click on Video > Compression. Choose what compression method you want. If you not choose a compression method, the file will be very large, really huge.

Step 6)
Click on Audio and choose the option Full processing mode.

Step 7)
Click on File > Save as AVI. VirtualDub will begin the conversion process.

That´s it!
